About Me

My interest in photography began in the early 1970's whilst still at school when I saw photographs in the media and appearing on record covers taken by David Bailey. I was inspired by his use of light and shade, and the composition of his images. I knew then I wanted to be a photographer.

I began my apprenticeship in the dark room of a London Advertising and Print Company learning everything about processing and printing. In my spare time my camera came with me everywhere to record precious moments. I would develop and print these images in an improvised darkroom at home, experimenting with printing techniques. Over the years I have worked for others honing my skills in printing, retouching and photography and I have exhibited my work in club competitions and for sale.

As a professional photographer working for a company in London for a number of years, I have relished the challenges of new technology and disciplines that the digital age has brought with it. Recent highlights have been working inside Buckingham Palace on assignments for the Royal Anniversary Trust and working closely with Anderson and Low on images for their exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery and books Athletes & Gymnasts.

My aim is quite simply to provide you with an outstanding photography and retouching service which meets your individual requirements and exceeds your expectations.
